Check out this amazing shot Madeleine captured in the Cajon Pass a few weeks back. She is going to enter it in a Visual and Performing Arts Contest at her school. This is the real shot, straight out of the camera, not touch-up, nothing. The funny thing is, she refuses to let me even come close to the camera. Ah, integrity as such a young age--either that or her mother's stubborness (did I say that?)
Well, it's finally official: I will be putting on the Christmas Light Show this year, but there will be a slight change. Rather than lighting up on Thanksgiving Night, will only play the show for one week (the week leading up to Christmas). Stay tuned for exact dates.
Originally, I wanted to spend more time with my family during Christmas, rather than having to wave to them from outside, and I also wanted to give my neighbors a break, but I think this will be a nice, happy-medium for all, especially since Madeleine and Ryder (and Gina) are extremely excited about the show.
I will say this much: This year's show will look very different and it even has a theme:
"Flight of the Human Spirit"
(I'm almost finished with the music and voice-overs)
I also jumped on board a really cool project with a fellow train enthusiast by the name of Jeff Willmitt--who I met last year while directing traffic during the light show.
We are going to meet next week to hash out the finer details, but he is planning on putting together an amazing show for children with autism. I won't go into the exact details, but from what I know already, I feel blessed to have been asked to film a documentary on the event.
More to follow.
And one last tidbit: get ready to meet our lovely Onward Bride Ladies. We sent out a questionaire and you'll get to read it all, so stay tuned.
Perhaps I should have just said STAY TUNED and called it a night.
Good night!
