The primary goal of Onward Films is to create content that celebrates the art of childhood, as well as raise awareness about issues that directly affect children. As many of you already know, child abuse is reported--on average--every 10 seconds and three children die every day as a result of such abuse. It has been my belief for some time, that we have a moral and legal obligation to protect those who cannot speak for themselves.
Therefore, as part of Child Abuse Awareness Month, on April 23, 2008, I am asking all 58 District Attorneys in California to call a press conference to reinforce the fact that child abuse in all its forms will not be tolerated. In doing so, they should also reiterate why it is important to protect our children and provide their constituents with tips and information on how to access local resources affiliated with protecting our children.

As a survivor of extreme childhood abuse that stills struggles with many problems due to it even at age 51...I applaud you.
