Yes, the season is near, and there is progress to be seen at the Lee House. Just tonight, my daughter and I hung up the lights on her playhouse and arranged the hanging spheres and snowflakes underneath the porch. The crepe myrtle trees are covered, and I can smell the snow juice in the garage just waiting to get cracked open and float through the night sky.
My mind is adrift and my soul is on fire with LIGHT FEVER. I am hoping that The Redlands Daily Facts (our local paper) buys into an idea I came up with. In light of all the traffic our light display gets, I thought it would be a great idea to collect money on the weekends for the families who lost their homes in the recent fires.
My Goal: $1 for every citizen in our city, which should work out to be around $60,000. It really hit home when I found out that one of Gina's clients lost their home and everything they owned to the fire. I count my blessings every day for my health and a wonderful family, and helping others this season just feels like the right thing to do.
